Why you should write a blog

Keeping a blog is one of the best ways to increase your website’s Search Engine Optimization (SEO). And, as a bonus, it’s a great way to build rapport with your most interested clientele by giving them information on things they find helpful. If you’re not currently keeping a blog, here are some of the best practices…

Decide how often you would like to post to your blog. Whether it’s once a week, twice a month or once a month. Whatever is going to work for you and your schedule, just try your best to be consistent. Especially once you build a following that it’s expecting it.

How it Helps SEO

Google is crawling your site. When someone (an ideal client) searches for something on Google, it crawls the web to find the keywords and phrases that the person searched for. To stay up to date with the newest keywords to use, check out the Keyword Planner through your Google Ads account. You don’t need to run Google Ads or spend money to use the Keyword Planner, but you will need an account. Type in the keywords and phrases that relate to your business and the blog you’re writing.

Once you’ve curated this list, take these keywords and pepper them through your blog.

This is one of the quickest and easiest ways to keep your site up to date with that your target audience is searching for.

It’s worth it

I totally get that writing a blog is easier said than done. Maybe you don't like to write. Maybe you don’t have the time. But, having even a 300-word, monthly blog post can help to increase your website traffic.

Again, I understand that not everyone wants to take the time to write and blog. I understand that not everyone understands SEO. Which is why I offer it as a service. If you’re thinking about outsourcing your blog writing, or want help doing it yourself, book your free consultation.
